Our Mission

To provide an education that nurtures individuals who are intellectually multifaceted, capable of thinking critically, generating ideas, sharing, applying, and presenting them. The program aims to produce self-confident individuals who can interpret cultural values with a modern art history perspective, conduct original cultural and art history research, and develop interdisciplinary projects.

Our Vision

To continuously develop as a department by implementing and sustaining contemporary teaching principles while considering the curricula of both national and international art history programs. The program aims to train well-equipped students through core professional courses supported by practical lessons in architecture and decorative arts. Furthermore, the department strives to contribute to raising public awareness about the promotion, preservation, and sustainability of tangible cultural heritage, particularly in the Sürmeli Çukuru region, including Iğdır, and across the country.
